No. 95 Leavine Family Racing Ford Fusion
This Week's Leavine Family Racing Ford Fusion at Richmond International Raceway ... Michael McDowell will pilot Chassis No. PRS-839 in the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond International Raceway. McDowell drove this LFR-prepared Ford Fusion to a 33rd-place finish at Phoenix International Raceway on March 2, at Bristol Motor Speedway on March 16 where he finished 37th, as well as driving it on March 16 at Martinsville Speedway with a qualifying effort of 32nd and finishing 37th.
McDowell in the Old Dominion ... Although this weekend marks McDowell's first Richmond International Raceway appearance for Leavine Family Racing, the Glendale, Ariz., driver has made nine other NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at the 3/4 -mile track. He earned a career-best 20th-place finish at the track in September 2008. In five NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at the track, he finished a career-best eighth place in May 2009.
The Lone Star ... The No. 95 Ford Fusion team will sport red, white and blue colors this weekend at Richmond International Raceway, with a single (lone) star, the Texas Star, adorning the hood. For Leavine Family Racing the “lone star” is a symbol of the team’s independent spirit, its solidarity with fans, and a tribute to Leavine Family Racing’s Texas origins.
