Christopher Bell – No. 95 Toyota Camry Preview
Jul 8, 2020

No. 95 Toyota Camry News and Notes:

  • Kentucky Speedway: Christopher Bell will make his first NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) start at Kentucky Speedway this weekend in the No. 95 Toyota Camry for Leavine Family Racing.  Bell has made two prior starts at the 1.5-mile track in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS).
  • Sparta Success: In 2018, Bell was slated to start 12th but an unapproved adjustment before the drop of the green flag meant he started at the back of the field. He was able to recover and led the last 17 laps of the event on his way to victory. In 2019, Bell started second and led 72 laps on his way to a second-place finish.
  • By the Numbers: Bell's second highest average finish in NXS is at Kentucky with an average finish of 1.5, only behind an average finish of first at Loudon.
  • Truck Success: Bell is no stranger to success at the Sparta, KY facility, having three starts in the NASCAR Truck Series with one win, two top five and two top-10 finishes to his credit.
  • Indianapolis Loop Statistics: Bell completed 243 green flag passes at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, more than three times as many as John Hunter Nemechek who ranked second on the list with 69 green flag passes.
  • Gaining Momentum: Bell has earned one top-five, four top-10 and six top-15 finishes in the last 12 starts.
  • Indianapolis Recap: Bell started 35th based on random draw. By the competition caution on lap 12 Bell had worked his way into 23rd. Despite receiving damage in a multi-car incident on pit road, the team was able to get the No. 95 Toyota repaired and Christopher ran as high as second before finishing 12th after a late-race pit stop under caution for a tire vibration.
  • RACE INFO: The Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway begins at 2:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 12, 2020. The race will be broadcast live on FS1, Sirius XM 90 and PRN Radio.

From the Cockpit:
Christopher Bell:
"Kentucky has been a great racetrack for me in the past.  I'm excited to build on the momentum we've been creating these past couple of weeks and get to Kentucky and see what we can do."
