Mar 11, 2020

No. 95 Rheem Toyota Camry News and Notes:

  • Atlanta Bound: Christopher Bell heads to Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS) to make his first NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) start at the 1.54-mile track this weekend.  AMS has been a good track for Bell in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS).  In 2019, Bell put forth a dominating effort, qualifying third and leading 142 of the 163 laps to take home the checkered flag.
  • Atlanta Success: In the NXS Series at AMS, Bell has one win, one pole, two top-five and two top-10 finishes.  Bell has one win, one top-five and one top-10 finish in two-career NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series (NGOTS) starts at AMS.  The 2017 trip to victory lane jump started his NGOTS Championship run.
  • Atlanta Ties for Rheem: Rheem, an Atlanta based company with headquarters in Atlanta, Ga., has been a primary fixture on the hood of Bell's Toyota's throughout his Xfinity career and now his Rookie season in the Cup Series.  Rheem is an industry leader in heating, cooling and water heating, for more information visit: www.rheem.com
  • Phoenix Recap: Christopher Bell qualified 15th and battled a tight handling car from the start.  After suffering three speeding penalties on pit road during stage one, Bell and the No. 95 team got the timing lights corrected on the dash.  Bell rebounded from being sent to the tail end of the field as a penalty for speeding on pit road, but was tagged from behind and into the wall, resulting in damage to his Camry.  The team worked to repair his car and Bell was able to stay on the lead lap to finish 24th at Phoenix.
  • RACE INFO: The Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway begins at 2:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 15, 2020. The race will be broadcast live on FOX, Sirius XM 90, and PRN Radio.

From the Cockpit:
Christopher Bell: "Atlanta is statistically one of my best racetracks.  Every race I've ran there I've been able to lead laps at some point.  I was able to win once in the Truck and once in the Xfinity car.  Atlanta is definitely another race I have circled and I love that race track.  It's going to be different in the Cup car but I'm ready to get there this weekend and see what happens."
