Coca-Cola 600 - Charlotte Motor Speedway
A patriotic paint scheme will adorn the No. 95 Thrivent Financial Ford this weekend for the Coca-Cola 600. In addition, the team is participating in the “600 Miles of Remembrance” NASCAR program and will honor CPL Ryan D. Russell of the US ARMY who was born June 11, 1986 in Ayden, North Carolina and died March 5, 2007 in KIA, Iraq. Paint scheme artwork: http://bit.ly/paintscheme
Leavine Family Racing is proud to honor two of our own who have served in the U.S. military. Car Chief, Kenneth Roettger Jr. served Active U.S.M.C. 1993-97 and Bob Moore, Parts Requisition for LFR, served Active Army 1976-80.
CAMP 95 – Application Deadline May 25
Leavine Family Racing is still planning to hold the debut session of Camp 95, a summer camp program designed to provide high school students with a behind-the-scenes look at the NASCAR racing industry. A location update will be announced if necessary. Applications for the camp are due by May 25 and can be found at www.lfr95.com/camp95. The camp will be held on Tuesday, June 16.
Charlotte Hornets Power Forward Cody Zeller will be a guest of Leavine Family Racing at the Coca-Cola 600 this Sunday. Zeller attended his first NASCAR race last fall at Charlotte Motor Speedway on behalf of the No. 95 team and “live-tweeted” the Daytona 500 cheering on the No. 95 earlier this season.
Driver Michael McDowell has 11 career NSCS starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway with a career-best 29th place finish in 2014 driving for Leavine Family Racing.
The next race for the No. 95 team will be the Toyota-Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway on June 28. The team does not plan to compete at Dover, Pocono or Michigan.
